Difficulties in connecting to Proton VPN servers
Incident Report for Proton Services
Resolved
Earlier today, we experienced a congestion issue in Proton VPN's WireGuard authentication layer, which created problems that made it impossible for some users to connect using the Wireguard protocol. After a deeper investigation, the root cause of the congestion was found to be due to a configuration error that was not appropriately updated when the number of Proton VPN users increased. A permanent fix was put in place to prevent a future occurrence of this problem. We apologize for this issue, and will keep working to improve to avoid such issues in the future.
